Welcome to the #1 Road Code Test in New Zealand!
If you want to drive you need to know about the New Zealand Rode Code. You will have to sit a test with questions on the Road Code. But before it's getting serious you might gain or refresh your knowledge on how to drive. This Online Test offers you the opportunity to learn all you need to be ready for the test - and you are able to check your knowledge by testing it here!
Instructions
You can go to the "learn"-section to get the actual road code information. The information is official NZTA content. If you feel ready to test your knowledge get to the "test" and choose your type of questionaire. First you can select out of several questions types such as Driver Responsibility/Key Driving Skills. Additionally you can choose a single 10's scratch test as you can get it from anywhere in NZ or go for a full 33 questions test.
Oh, and by the way: Its free!
Change to the Learner licence theory test:
From August 2009 the learner licence theory test will move from a paper-based test to a computerised version. It is estimated that the computerised version will be compulsory at all testing agents in 2010. Talk to your driver licensing agent about which is available in your area.
The test is made up of 35 questions. There are 25 questions about road rules and road hazards and 10 questions about safety practices that relate to the type of vehicle you are applying for a licence for (see New Zealand's driver licensing system for the different classes of licence you can apply for). The questions will appear in a random order.
Please note:
Even if I try to keep this site up-to-date: The content in the learn section may eventually be outdated - Please refer ALWAYS to the official NZTA website for learning when it is getting "serious".
The news is...
Hell no...
The logins still seem to raise problems. If you register please retry the login in case it fails. Sometimes it takes a bit of patience with that thing...

Login problems? Solved!
September 2009
Many of you may have encountered problems logging in after registration. Well, it took me some time to get on to it (been travelling) - but now ALL accounts have been activated. And for the newcomers here: You should be able to instantly gain access after registration now.
By the way: Many of you made different attempts to register. So we have many duplicates in the database. Eventually they may be removed from the db. But I'll take care not to erase precious data ;)
Cheers,
Marco

Still work to do...
While the site is running there are still a few things to do. You might have found out that you cannot lookup the topics in a test-result which you have failed. Additionally there is not everything about the road code in our database - but we're on it!
